Next Steps
Although the purpose of this design project was to come up with an initial responsive prototype, I wish there would have been an opportunity to test the prototype and design a final iteration.
Other next steps I would have liked to do:
Offer other options such as seeing a movie alone or with friends.
Test a play button for movie trailers on the movie detail page
Test adding title names/other information to movies on home page
High-Fidelity Designs

Visual Design
- Centered the design system with Netflix’s brand color palette.
- Ensured high contrast and legibility for users with visual impairments using web accessibility guidelines.

Prototyping
- Created interactive prototypes with Figma to validate design concepts and workflows.
- Conducted usability testing with potential users and refined the app's navigation based on feedback.

Information Architecture
- Structured the app's information architecture to prioritize the most critical features for users.
- Sketched clear navigation hierarchy for viewing released and upcoming movies, incentive program, and preference personalizations.

Persona Development
- Created detailed patient personas based on user research to represent different chronic illness scenarios.
- Developed personas with demographics, emotional needs, and health goals.

Competitive Analysis
- Analyzed existing movie theater ticket purchasing apps to identify gaps and opportunities for innovation.

User Research
- Conducted in-depth interviews with move theater goers to understand their struggles and pain points when looking for and purchasing movie theater tickets.
- Discovered common challenges like seating selections, incentive programs, and preference personalization.

User Story
As a user, I want to be able to be recommended movies in
theater based on what movies I watch at home.
As a user, I want an efficient way to buy movie theater tickets
and save selected options for future usage.

Overview
Netflix Show will help customers identify upcoming and released movies in movie theaters. By providing this service, Netflix believes their brand will become synonymous with movies (a new strategy for Netflix). The primary objective of the Movie Lifecycle Strategy is to capture customer interest in a movie as early as possible – when they are most engaged.
Context
For my Master of Science degree in Human-Computer Interaction, I led a graduate team capstone project with 4 total UX Designers and UX Researchers where we explored the usability of Netflix Show as an extension of Netflix’s brand during a 2-week sprint.
